Parks for Everyone

Let's Open the Gate!

We are a group of families who live in Sunol and surrounding areas of the East Bay.

Our children and grandchildren have hiked, biked, run and walked along Sinbad Creek Trail for decades. Public access to this land has been in place for over a century.

In 1983, developers threated to destroy the ridge. Sunolians mobilized and
created "Save our Sunol"
They fought and won to preserve and protect the land in perpetuity for everyone.

Despite decades of cooperation,
support and great relationships with the community - EBRPD closed the gate. There was no notice and worse, no community input. The public has been shut out with no explanation.

We want to ensure public access is restored.

We've made it easy. We've created a sample email to EBRPD and we are collecting your images and testimonials. Why? We want to create a compelling gallery for EBRPD and be seen and heard. We want to bring EBRPD to the table and find a solution so that the gate is open to all.
